So many of us are mystified by the weight loss process, but when you really break it down is it really that hard? We know what we should and shouldn't eat and we know that we should exercise regularly and be active. We may never know why we struggle with the process of losing weight but here is a simple weight loss plan that anyone can follow.
1. Cut Out Fatty Fast Foods
Fast foods are a plague on a society looking to lose weight. You see them on every street corner, they offer attractive prices, fast service and fatty salty foods that satisfy our taste buds. Unfortunately the average burger, fry and soda combination contains more fat and calories than we should eat in an entire day and you're eating it in a single meal! If you can find a way to cut fatty fast foods out of your diet you will see a significant reduction in calories and will certainly help improve your cholesterol.
2. Spend 30 Minutes Exercising
None of us want to diet and none of us want to exercise but we all want the weight to magically go away somehow. There are many uncertainties in the dieting world but one thing is for sure, if you don't diet and you don't exercise you absolutely will not lose weight. Exercise doesn't have to be boring, find something that you like to do, play basketball, play golf, find a place you like to visit and take a walk around regularly. If you don't enjoy exercising it will seem like punishment and you wont do it regularly. 20-30 minutes of exercise is generally enough, more is better of course, but all of us (even the busiest of us) should be able to find 20-30 minutes of free time. Personally I like to ride a bike so I purchased a recumbent exercise bike and I ride while watching the morning news. Believe me, 20-30 minutes goes much faster than you think!
3. Replace Sugar Filled Deserts With Fruit
We all love deserts, but most of them are loaded with sugar and often a lot of fats. On top of that most of us eat deserts late at night so all that sugar is in our system when we are most likely to sit around and lie down for sleep. Instead of eating cakes, pies and ice creams, try making a nice fruit salad or eating some slices of fruit, you'll be very surprised how good it is, especially following a meal. Fruit has a good amount of sugar too but it's a natural sugar that your body can process much easier than refined sugars found in most deserts. Fruit is a delicious natural treat and a great way to reduce your daily calorie intake.
