Engagement rings have been used as a sign of commitment for many centuries. As a ring is circular it represents something that is never-ending. Even today they are an significant and meaningful symbol of a couples love for one another. Getting engaged is a serious and important decision to make but picking an engagement ring can be even more difficult.
In the dark ages, engagement rings were fashioned out of locks of hair but today they are manufactured out of much more expensive metals.
